Abstract

272,989. Crowter, G. E. March 19, 1926. Surface markings.-A disc e, adapted to be embedded in a road surface to provide marks or signs for traffic guidance, is cast, spun, or pressed from aluminium or other metal, and has a depending flange f which is undercut or outwardly flared to key with the road material. The disc mav be hollow and strengthened by internal ribs and the flanges may be formed with ribs g or corrugations to assist the keying. The upper surface may be slightly domed to conform with the camber of the road.
