Abstract
271,868. Olivaux, F. May 26, 1926, [Convention date]. Contents, facilitating access to; fittings, internal. - In a case for cigarettes and other articles comprising a slidable disc 2 upon which the articles rest. and which is acted upon by an operating lever to raise the articles. When the lid is opened, the case is fitted with a set of cells or compartments 1 fixed in the case above the disc and through which cells the articles are protruded as the disc is raised. As shown the disc 2 is pivoted by a pin 5 in a spring-controlled slotted lever 3 pivoted in the bottom of the case and connected bv a bell-crank lever 8 with the hinged lid 16 normally secured by a spring catch 13; when the lid is released by pressing a button 11, a spring 7 forces the lever 8 upwards thus opening the lid and raising the disc to project the articles from the cells 1. In a modification a smaller case for matches may be mounted on the disc 2 and be furnished with the internal opening arrangement described or the lever 3 thereof may be dispensed with, a spiral spring being arranged between the disc 2 and the corresponding disc of the smaller case and a link being pivoted to the lid thereof and its disc.
