3641. Akt.-Ges. Brown, Boveri, et Cie. Feb. 11, 1910, [Convention date]. Plant.-Relates to a ship's turbine plant in which a high-pressure stage b, an intermediate stage i, and two low-pressure stages c, k are connected by pipes which permit, for one load, the connexion of the stages b, c in series as one unit and the stages i, k in series as a second unit, and, for a lesser load, the connexion of the stages b, i in series exhausting into the stages c, k arranged in parallel, and in which the steam exhausted from the stage b in the latter arrangement is admitted to the intermediate stage i through nozzles o, and, in the former arrangement, the initial steam is admitted to the stage i through other nozzles p. The invention consists in the construction of the intermediate turbine with a stage having impulse blading m and a drum member carrying reaction blading n. Reversing-turbines d, l are provided, and the turbine stages on each shaft may be grouped in one or several casings as desired.
