Abstract

263,566. Cameron, W. Oct. 12, 1925. Cylinders receiving liquid fuel.-The combustion chamber 5 is in the form of an oblate spheroid and is connected to the cylinder by an axial port 7* which merges from cylindrical to conical shape, and is substantially closed by a projection 7 on the piston; the fuel nozzle 9 is transverse to the cylinder axis and a sparking plug or a firing chamber 8 in which a volatile fuel is ignited as described in Specification 129,522, if required, is axial. The engine may work on a four-stroke-cycle and have a sleevevalve similar to that described in Specification 16761/09, [Class 7 (vi), Internal-combustion engines, Valves &c. for], or overhead valves.
