Abstract

259,513. Thompson, J. O. June 19, 1926. Disc and like plate hinges; hinges readily separable about hinge pin.-Window sashes and like articles are pivotally mounted by means of a pair of attachment plates 1, 6, one of which has a projecting pin 2 for engagement with an opensided socket on the other plate, the pin being formed with a lateral projection with shoulders 4 to engage the surfaces 5, 7 adjacent to the socket as the sash is rocked in is pivots. The socket plate 6 has a slot which is cruciform in shape, as shown, whereby the hinge parts may be readily separated after the plates have been secured to the window frame and sash respectively.
