Abstract

259,279. McLardy, R. July 1, 1925. Folding boxes; lids; handles. - A collapsable cardboard or like box wherein the sides are adapted to be folded over upon the bottom and are provided with flanges upon the vertical edges whereby they may be retained in the erect position is provided with a lid 7 separate from the box and having depending sides 7<c> capable of being folded inwardly beneath the top of the lid, two or more of the sides being provided with extensions terminating at each end in tabs 7<a> which can be engaged in slots 8 in the sides of box. The lid may be provided with a handle 10 formed as shown or by cutting a pair of parallel slits in the lid and pressing up the material between the slits.
