Pistons ; cooling.-Pistons are cooled by a fluid under pressure, e.g. oil, which enters and leaves a pair of rigidly connected pistons, moving in parallel cylinders of an internal-combustion engine, through telescopic pipes, the fluid passing from one piston to the other through a bent pipe.
