Method for producing a pane unit, and pane unit
The invention relates to a method for producing a pane unit having an overmould, and a pane unit.
A pane unit is known from DE 36 04 389 Al in which a frame is provided along an external edge region of the pane, said frame having a profile section which extends, at least in sections, on an inside and a front side in the edge region of the pane. This frame is produced from an elastomeric material and constitutes a seal in order to seal the pane unit in a receiving opening of a vehicle with a car body adjacent thereto. A holding element is fastened on the frame by an adhesive. This holding element is provided to fix the pane to the car body.
Furthermore, from US 4,841,698 A, a pane unit is known which has the external edge region of the pane of a frame that comprises a profile section which extends on an inside, a front side and an outside of the pane, and engages around the edge region. Separate from and adjacent to the profile section, which is formed as the overmould, a fastening element is provided which has a holding section in the form of a suction cup that is fixed on an inside of the pane by means of an adhesion applied to the suction cup. This fastening element has a holding element by means of which the pane can be fastened on the car body, wherein the fastening element is provided on the pane separately to the overmould.
Furthermore, from DE 198 18 153 B3, a pane unit for introducing into a receiving opening in a car body is provided. In the external edge region, the pane unit has an overmould, wherein an insertion part is provided in the overmould. This insertion part has a fastening section provided in the overmould, said fastening section being positioned separately to the pane. Furthermore, the insertion part has a holding element in order to receive, for example, an aperture. The pane is fixed to the car body by means of an adhesive bead.
The object of the invention is to propose a method for producing a pane unit, and a pane unit in which insertion parts are incorporated into the overmould, wherein a simple and costeffective production of the pane unit is made possible.
This object is solved by a method for producing a pane unit consisting of a pane and a frame provided along the external edge region of the pane, said frame being formed as the overmould, wherein, before inserting the pane into the tool for applying the overmould on at least one of the panes, an insertion part is positioned in the edge region of the pane and is fixed on the pane by pressing on a self-suctioning foot and, subsequently, the injection moulding tool is sealed and the pane is overmoulded to form the frame and the selfsuctioning foot of the insertion part is encased. As a result of the insertion part having a selfsuctioning foot, the pane is fitted with the insertion part in the edge region on one or both sides, and is subsequently inserted into the injection moulding tool, wherein, as a result of the self-suctioning foot, the position of the insertion parts on the pane remains constant on the holding pane, even in the event of an overhead alignment of individual insertion parts. As a result, in particular when using rotary table machines, there can be a quick and cost-effective production.
Furthermore, the insertion part is positioned on the pane in an adhesive-free manner. This has the advantage that a fluid adhesive or an adhesive strip does not have to be used. In addition, no corresponding adhesive application on the insertion parts or on the edge region of the pane is required. Furthermore, post-reaction time can be avoided.
Furthermore, the insertion parts are positioned on both sides in the edge region of the pane and subsequently inserted into the tool. The requirements of the pane unit and the formation of the overmould become increasingly more complex such that, two-sided arrangements of insertion parts are required instead. Thus, the insertion part can be used as a fastening element for fixing the pane unit on the car body, for example on one side of the pane, and the insertion part can be used as a holding element for receiving an aperture or decorative strip on the opposite side.
It is preferred that the overmould of the pane is produced in a vertical injection moulding machine. With such a vertical injection moulding machine, a flat extension of the pane in the horizontal is aligned. Here, it is preferred that rotary tables are used, which consist of two tables. A first table constitutes the loading and unloading point, wherein the second table is used during the loading and unloading of the first table to produce the overmould. As a result of the self-adhesive fixing of the insertion elements on the pane, a displacing movement of the one table from the loading and unloading position into the position for overmoulding is possible without the one or more insertion parts shifting out of place or getting lost. This also enables an overhead arrangement of the insertion parts after inserting the pane without the insertion parts detaching from the pane, until introducing the overmould.
The object of the invention is furthermore solved by a pane unit in which the insertion part has a self-suctioning foot which, after placing on the pane, adheres to the pane, and at least the self-suctioning foot is encased by the overmould. Such pane units can be produced in a cost-effective manner, since additional processes for fixing the insertion part on the pane until the point in time of the overmould are not necessary. Furthermore, such a pane unit has the advantage that, after application of the overmould, the self-suctioning foot of the insertion part is permanently held down relative to the pane and is fixed.
A further advantageous embodiment of the pane unit provides that the self-suctioning foot of the insertion part is formed as a suction cup, which has a circular suction lip in particular. As a result, a quick adhesion after pressing on the foot on the pane can be obtained in a simple manner.
It is preferred that the holding element of the insertion part is formed as a hard component made of plastic or made of metal on which the suction cup formed as a soft component made of plastic is arranged. As the hard component, in particular PP, ABS, ABS PC is provided. To form the suction cup, in particular a thermoplastic elastomer can be used.
The suction cup can preferably be formed as a 2k injection moulding part, wherein the holding element is formed as the hard component and the suction cup is formed as the soft component. Alternatively, the insertion part can also be formed as two parts, wherein the suction cup is held on the holding element by means of a clamp fastening, such as in Ushaped indentation, for example.
The invention as well as further advantageous embodiments and developments thereof are described and explained in more detail below by means of the examples depicted in the drawings. The features that can be seen in the description and the drawings can be applied, according to the invention, individually or in many different combinations. They show:
Figure 1 a schematic view of a pane unit,
Figure 2 a schematic cross-sectional view along the line II-II in Figure 1, and
Figure 3 a schematic cross-sectional view along the line II-II in Figure 1 of an alternative embodiment of an insertion part.
In Figure 1, a pane unit 11 is depicted which can be introduced into a predetermined opening in a car body of a motor vehicle. The pane unit 11 has an overmould 14 which is made of an elastic material. This overmould 14 forms a frame 17 that is injected on in an edge region 13 of a pane of the pane unit. The frame 70 can engage on an inside, a front side and/or an outside of the frame 13 of the pane 12. This frame 17 completely surrounds the edge region 13 of the pane 12. Alternatively, the frame 17 can also be provided only partially along the edge region 13 of the pane 12. The overmould forming the frame 17 is formed, in particular, from a plastic. The overmould can be formed as a single-component overmould or as a twocomponent overmould. With a single-component overmould, the overmould can be formed as a soft component or made of a thermoplastic elastomer and consist, for example, of a TPE. With a two-component overmould, initially a hard component is injected on the pane 12 which is then at least partially surrounded by a hard component. PP, ABS, ABS PC, for example, can be provided as the soft component. Depending on the embodiment of the overmould, a bonding agent or a primer can be applied in the edge region of the pane before applying the overmould, said bonding agent connecting the overmould 14 to the pane 12. The pane 12 can be formed from plastic or glass.
Several insertion parts 16 are provided in the frame 17. These insertion parts 16 are arranged with a distance relative to one another on the edge region of the pane 12. These insertion parts 16 can be arranged on the pane 12 both aligned relative to the outside of the car body and on the car body of the vehicle. In the exemplary embodiment according to Figure 1, which is schematically depicted along the cross-sectional line II-II in Figure 2, the insertion part 16 is positioned on an outside of the pane 12. This insertion part 16 has a holding element 19 to which, for example, an installation part 21 can be applied. In this embodiment, the installation part 21 is formed, for example, as an aperture or decorative strip which can be fastened on the holding element 19 in a detachable manner. Opposite the holding element 19, the insertion part 16 has a self-suctioning foot 23 which abuts directly on the pane 12. This self-suctioning foot 23 is fastened on the pane 12 by pressing on in the edge region 13. The foot 23 has an elastic suction lip. The insertion part 16 has a fastening section between the foot 23 and the holding element 19. The overmould 14 can engage around a fastening section 24 of the insertion part 16 or can encase it, whereby the insertion part 16 is fixed to the pane 12. In any case, the overmould 14 is provided relative to the insertion part 16 in such a way that at least the self-suctioning foot 23 is encased by the overmould 14. Here, the insertion part 16 is provided relative to the pane in such a way that the self-suctioning foot 23 is held flatly abutting on the pane 12.
This pane unit 12 can be glued or clipped in a car body 27 of the vehicle in order to seal the receiving opening in the car body 27 relative to the vehicle internal space.
In Figure 3, a schematic cross-sectional view along the cross-sectional line II-II of an alternative embodiment of an insertion part 16 is depicted. This insertion part 16 is arranged in an inside of the pane 12. The insertion part 16 according to the embodiment in Figure 2 is provided on an outside of the pane 12.
The insertion part 16 depicted in Figure 3 is a fastening part to fix the pane unit 11 on the car body 27 by latching in a vehicle opening. This insertion part 16 also has a self-suctioning foot 23 that engages in a self-suctioning manner on the pane 12. The overmould 14 surrounds a fastening section 24 for positioning and fixing the insertion part 16 to the pane 12. The holding element 19 freely protrudes outwardly relative to the overmould 14.
In the embodiments of the insertion part 16 described above, the self-suctioning foot 23 can be formed by a peripheral, preferably circular suction lip. The insertion part 16 is positioned and fixed to the pane 12 in an adhesive-free manner.
The insertion part 16 is preferably formed in a single part as a two-component plastic part. The fastening element 24 and the holding element 19 consist of a hard component. The foot 23 is formed as a soft component. Alternatively, the fastening element 24 and the holding element 19 can be formed from metal, and the self-suctioning foot 23 is injected thereon or fastened thereon in a form-fit manner.
