Armouring cables and conductors.-The sheathing of single core alternating current cables is interrupted at one or more places in each manufacturing length of the cable to prevent the occurrence of induced currents therein. The breaks in the sheathing may be surrounded by a layer of filling substance and an enclosing sleeve, which may be in two parts, to protect the cable.
