[Class 36.] In a cable of the type in which one or more insulated cores and an earthing conductor are enclosed within a metallic sheath, the earthing conductor is constituted by stranded wire, the individual strands of which are in electrical contact with the sheath. The Figure shows a stranded earthing conductor 3 accommodated between the cores 1 and the metallic sheath 2 of a twin-core cable.
