Abstract

250,653. Elliott, O., (Elliott, E., and Roebuck, H.). Jan. 13, 1925. Securing pulleys, toothed wheels, &c. on shafts.-Pulleys, gear wheels, &c. A are secured on shafts by forming them in two halves fitted around the shaft C and provided with holes parallel to the shaft axis engaged by pins carried in a collar B secured by set-screws b<1> to the shaft. A collar D adjustably secured to the shaft engages the opposite side of the wheel. The wheel may be cast whole and nearly severed by diametral slots a<1> as shown in Fig. 2, so that the wheel can readily be broken.
