Abstract

Racket presses.-In a tennis or like racket press of the kind wherein the two press members completely cover the faces of the racket head, each member has a frame the sides of which increase in width between their ends. As shown, the two members of the press each comprise peripheral strips 6 jointed together to form frames, and filled in with a plywood or celluloid panel 7 engaging grooves in the strips. Clamping screws 1 and protection discs 5 are provided at the corners. The strips 6 are of increased width between their extremities to give greater strength. A handle 10 is attached to one or both members of the press so that the combined racket and press balances in an horizontal position. when being carried. In a modification, the panels 7 instead of engaging grooves in the strips 6 are attached by screws to the inner faces of light metal frames. In a further modification, the two press members are formed of a solid piece of wood or other material.
