[Class 132 (ii).] In a combined tennis or like racket case and press of banjo shape, completely enclosing the racket and its handle, and provided with a pair of press frames and clamping means for tightening up the press after the case has been closed, the case comprises two parts a hinged along one edge of the wider part of the case and provided with fasteners d; and a frame is secured in each part a and the clamping means pass through one or both parts of the case and are removable so that the case may be opened like a book. The case may be of wood, metal, or other material, covered with leather, or other material. Side fillets f position the racket on wood or metal press frames e, or the frames may be grooved to take the racket, and the clamping means comprises screws h which pass through metal shod sockets in the top of the case and the upper frame and take into screw-threaded sockets g, one at each corner of the lower frame. The screws h have slotted heads and each carries a rubber or other resilient distance piece which lies between the frames, and a spring which lies under the slotted head and locks the screw when the latter is tightened up. Other types of clamping screws may be used with, for instance, a finger-piece which can be turned down to lie in a recess on the outside of the case, and the press frames may be of any other construction comprising two members, such as a pair of cross frames.
