Ovens; oven shelves. - A portable oven, applicable to a range or gas or oil stove, and comprising an inner cooking-chamber 1 surrounded by a casing 5 with intervening flue spaces, is provided with a revolving plate or sole 18, and with a doorway (not shown) extending between the inner and outer casings and of cross-sectional area less than that of the cooking-chamber. The form shown is circular in plan, and the rotatable shelf or grid 18 is carried by rollers 19 and a central support 21. A conical baffle and deflector for the gases 13 is provided beneath the bottom 3 of the cooking-chamber, and may be arranged at an adjustable distance from it. The bottom plate 3 may be perforated. The gases enter and leave by openings 9, 10.
