Pivoting adjustments.-A joint for wind-screens and other articles has a fixed pivot pin formed with a cam-shaped or eccentric surface with which engages a clamping screw carried by the concentric socket member carrving the wind-screen. In the arrangement shown in Fig. 3, the fixed pivot pin 18 is formed with an inner eccentric surface 18<a> against which is adapted to be clamped a short rod 20 that is screw-threaded for engagement with a clamping screw 21 carried by the socket member 17a. The member carries the movable screen 16, and the fixed pivot pin is slotted at 18<a> to permit of the movement of the clamping screw when the screen is moved into the desired position. The rod 20 and surface 18<a> may be serrated, as shown in Fig. 5, or D-shaped in cross-section. In the arrangement shown in ends Fig. 10, the fixed pivot pin is formed with an eccentric surface 18<c> at a part located between its ends and it is engaged by a clamping screw carried by the movable socket member. A loose block or shoe may be fitted on the end of the clamping screw.
