Abstract

228,425. Jones, J. June 19, 1924. Saws. - Hack raw frames comprise an end handle-carrying member B secured to an arm A of circular, square or other shape and preferably of tubular construction, a second member G being mounted to slide on the other end of the arm A. Mounted in the members B, G are cylindrical, blade-carrying members b, H slotted at E to receive the blade and provided with tapped holes X to receive clamping-screws f, f<1>, the blade being held in position by friction. A flange b<1> holds the member b in position and tension is imparted to the saw blade by a wing nut L engaging a screwed portion h of the member H. The cylindrical formation of the members b, H allows the saw to be set at any required angle, and a clamping-screw may be provided to secure the part G in position on the arm A. The part b may be made conical in form.
