Abstract

Trap nests.-A trap nest for poultry is closed bv a door C secured to a vertical or inclined axis E so arranged that in the open position a projecting portion of the door obstructs the doorway and is displaced by the fowl &c. entering, causing the door to turn into the closed position. The closing is assisted by suitable means such as by forming on the upper end of the axis E a projection K that rides over the apex of a fitting J as the door closes, and when it has closed, becomes disengaged from the fitting, allowing the door to drop behind the threshold H or other suitable catch.
