Description
The ports Person Action Doll.
This invention relates to a childrens and or adults game that can be played on a table-top, floor and on any level surface where tFe game can be laid and or marked out.
The sports person action doll is soaped to the basic human form, and can be either male or female.
It has been fitted with interior mechanism which is attached to two external knobs on shafts protruding from the rear of the sports person action doll.
According to the present invention, the sports person action doll can have fitted to the shaft protruding from the front of the sports person action doll a sport implement so that it can be made to play that particular sports game.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of exarnple wlth reference to the accompanying drawing in which:
Figure I shows in perspective, the sports person action doll in upright stance fitted with a golf-club.
Figure 2: shows in perspective, the sports person action doll in the stance of a golfer addressing a golf-ball.
Figure 3 illustrates the separation of the lower section of the golf-club shaft from the upper section.
Figure 4 illustratesthe sports person action doll fitted with a permanent golf-club..
Figure 5 illustrates how a cricket-bat can replace the detachable golf-club.
Figure 6 shows the toothed gear-wheel in place in the lower part of the torso.
Figure 7 shows the worm-gear fitted in the upper thigh.
Figure b shows the spring retaining plate Figure 9 shows plan-vie of golf-club shaft welded onto spring retaining plate.
Figure IO shows front view of spring retaining plate, golf-club shaft, extended springs and spring retaining bars as they would be when in position in the torso.
Figure II shows side-view of inter-gear in position.
Figure I2 shows smoulder section, showing channel for elasticated arms.
Figure 13 shows in perspective, the sports person action doll in upright stance fitted wit a cricket-bat.
Figure 14 shows in perspective, the sports person action doll in batting stance.
Referring to the drawing the sports person action doll has a hollow torso and thighs.
Fitted into the tkighs is a worm-gear 24 which is screw locked onto the worm-gear drive shaft 8, the worm-gear is rotated by turning the worm-drive shaft turning knob 9.
Fitted into the lower torso is a tootled gear-wheel I8 which meshes with. the worm-gear 24.
The pivot-shaft 47 passes through one thigh, through the tootbed gear-wheel bush aperture 43 and out through the otFer thigh.
The pivot-shaft 47 is kept in place by a circ-clip 48 at each end of the shaft. By turning the worm-drive shaft turning knob in a clock-wise direction, the torso will pivot forward and down.
The shaft of the golf-club 2 is made in two sections. The upper section; just below the dewnward angle of the shaft, is fitted a threaded socket S into which the threaded section 4 of the lower action of tFe golf-club shaft 2 is screwed into, and Then the club-head 3 is in the correct position it is locked into position with the lock-nut 5.
The eomplete golf-club shaft 2 can also be made as one complete and permanent fitting as shown in Figure 4.
The golf-club shaft 2 is fitted into the torso and protrudes out of the back and front of the torso. A circ-clip 46 at eac exit point keeps the shaft and the sprin: retaining plate 32 in their correct position.
Two extended springs 36 are hooked; one in eacF spring retaining plate aperture 33, extended upwards and looped onto the two spring retaining bars 35, one on each bar as shown in Figure IO.
On the end of the golf-club shaft 2 protruding from the rear of the torso is fitted a manipulating knob 7 which can be turned clock-wise or anti-clockwise which will make the sport fitment to swing backwards and or forwards.
The elasticated arms I0 are fitted with hands II which are glued together around the golf-club shaft 2. They can also be glued to the golf-club shaft 2 or on the thread socket 6.
If the sports person action doll is fitted wit" another sports fitment, then the shaft 2 will be known by t"at fitments name, e.g. If a cricket -bat is fitted onto shaft 2, it would be known as the cricket-bat shaft 2.
