Locks, revolving-barrel; preventing release by destruction.-Means for preventing illicit release of a revolving barrel lock by wrenching it round comprise a stamped metal plate with lugs engaging the fin containing the pin tumblers and pointed lugs for engaging the woodwork of the door, this plate being situated between the face of the door and the usual rose plate. The rose plate E is held in position by a flange on the outer part a of the casing of the revolving barrel lock A and completely covers in the plate F, which has sharp corner lugs f adapted to bite into the outer face of the door and secure the plate against rotation. The plate secures the barrel lock A against rotation by engaging its fin h between a pair of lugs g. In stamping out the plate F, tongues j are left and these are bent at rightangles to the plate to fit the inner surface of the hole drilled in the door so as to position the plate correctly,
