Abstract

Cabs; bodies; steps.- The body of a motor vehicle is divided into a passengers' compartment and a drivers' compartment by a dividing wall comprising two panels of which one 28 is transverse and the other 30 rearwardly inclined as shown. The panel 30 is provided with a door 36 hinged so that it swings within the limits of the vehicle. Steps or running boards 39, 40 are mounted on brackets connected to the chassis members 10 so as to be substantially on the same plane as the floor 24 of the vehicle. A protecting plate 46 is provided to protect the body from injury. A second door may be provided in the wall 27 if desired.
