Abstract

The invention relates to machining by electroerosion. The electrode tool forming the subject of the invention is of the type comprising a central electrode 1 made of a conductive material, mounted coaxially in a sheath 6, and is characterised in that the central electrode 1 is arranged with a certain spacing with respect to the sheath 6 and extends beyond the active end of the latter on the workpiece 7 to be machined side. The invention finds applications, preferably, in the spark-erosion machining of conductive materials, especially materials which are difficult to machine (extra-hard, having high impact strength). <IMAGE>
