Seat and sofa adjustments.-In chairs, settees or the like in which the back frame 1 is adjustable at varying inclinations by a pin and slot connection 3, 4 with the stationary frame members, a locking device consisting of laterally projecting pins 9 on the back frame engaging a series of notches 12 on the stationary frame members, is arranged below the pivots. Preferably the notches 12 a.re formed in a. plate 10 secured upon each side member 5 of the seat frame.
