Non - metallic elastic bodies and cores. - A cushion tyre is moulded as a complete tube in cross section with a flat tread 6 narrower than the base, the side walls 2 being so shaped as to thicken in both directions (as indicated in dotted lines) when under load. The tyre base is formed with beaded edges and with grooves 5 so as to overhang the rim flanges.
