Abstract

213,514. Haney, E. H. Nov. 13, 1923. Roller-way conveyers.-The floor of a vehicle is formed by two or more sets of rollers 2, 3, which are rotated on spindles 2<a>. The several sets of rollers are driven from a shaft 13 by a wide pinion 12 which may be adjusted to engage one or more pinions 9, 10 each driving one set of rollers through chain-and-sprocket gear. The forward set of rollers may thus be stopped when the forward part of the vehicle has been loaded. The shaft 13 may be driven from the engine of the vehicle through change-speed mechanism.
