Abstract
212,725. Egerton, A. C. G. Feb. 20, 1923. Casting processes.-Castings, particularly of zinc, are produced with definite crystalline or other physical properties by introducing solid metal, preferably divided, having the same crystalline &c. form into the cast metal and arranging the cooling of the casting to commence from such portions of metal as nuclei. The metal may be identical with that of the casting. The casting may be carried out in vacuo.
