Abstract

208,062. Poulter, F. March 7, 1923. Sliding - bolts. -A curved bolt 7 sliding in a curved casing 2 on one part to be fastened, and engaging a curved socket 6 on the other part, is of sufficient length to form a double fastening when shot, re-entering the casing 2. The knob 8, Fig. 4, is mounted on a sleeve 11 on a part 12 integral with, or screwed to, the bolt, and is rotated to engage a bayonet slot 10 in the casing to prevent withdrawal of the bolt, and a similar slot may be provided to prevent shooting of the bolt.
