Abstract

206,141. Renault, L. Oct. 25, 1922, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect 91 of the Act]. Packing, non-metallic.-A cup-leather 3, Fig. 1, particularly applicable for an hydraulic shockabsorber of the rotary type, is clamped at one edge between the stuffing-box and a screw cap 6, while the other edge is pressed against the rod by a spring ring 7. The cup-leather may be of L section or of U section, as shown. Alternatively the leather may be clamped by a bevelled surface 8, Fig. 4, in the angle of the cap 6 and the free edge of the leather may be compressed by a spring-pressed ring 9.
