Abstract
200,904. Harris, L. J. April 20, 1922. Four-stroke-cycle engines; cylinders, combustion-chambers of and liners for.-Concentric pistons f, g work in the cylinders a, b, both pistons having packing rings k, l; the inner cylinder also has a set of outwardly-pressing spring rings i working in conjunction with a sleeve extension of the annular piston. The combustion chambers are independent and fire alternately. An air or water jacket is formed in the walls of the inner cylinder. The two pistons work on the same crank pin or on cranks set at 90‹.
