Abstract

A hydraulic system, particularly for tractors or for machines designed for agricultural or constructional work, comprises a hydraulic fluid pump which is driven by a drive motor and which can be brought into hydraulic communication through a control valve with a power-lift housing or an oil reservoir respectively, or a cylinder and piston unit. An auxiliary oil reservoir (8) communicates through an overflow line (7) with the powerlift housing (4) and a float valve (13) is arranged in the auxiliary reservoir to interact with a suction line (18) which is connected to the auxiliary oil reservoir (8), which leads to the hydraulic fluid pump (1) and which is adapted to communicate with the fluid chamber of the power-lift housing (4) via a check valve (22) opening to said suction line (18) by by-passing the anticipatory-controlled float valve (13). <IMAGE>
