Abstract

The present invention relates to a microwave heating device having a resistance heater (4) within a heating chamber (3) in which a waveguide (2) to transmit microwave energy into the heating chamber (3) is installed leaving a clearance (5) between the wall of the heating chamber (3), and the said waveguide (2) and the said heating chamber (3) are connected by a coaxial waveguide (6) through said wall. The heater (4) is installed orthogonally to the direction of the electric field, and heat insulating material (10) is provided in the clearance (5) between the said waveguide (2) and the heating chamber wall. <IMAGE>
