Abstract

199,128. Merrill, H. C. March 15, 1922. Addition to 146,649. Double walls.-In the process of casting walls in situ between moulds or permanent slabs which are set edgwise with the vertical joints out of alignment, and which are secured by clamping- belts engaging the body portion of one course and the two meeting edges of the members of the superposed course, as described in the parent Specification, provision is made by an inner set of core mould members 16 to form a hollow wall. The core members are held within the outer members the correct distance apart by precast cruciform distance-pieces 17 through which pass the bolts 14 to clamp the members in position. The distance-pieces are varied in length by extensionpieces 20, Fig. 7.
