Abstract
197,824. Baltzersen, W. J. May 1, 1922. Hydraulic rams.-A pressure chamber 6 is arranged at or near the inlet valve 8, so that pressure is set up therein by the return of the liquid after the closing of the pulse valve 4, and this pressure assists the next stroke in the direction of flow through the ram. The pulse valve or an automatic non-return valve may be watersealed so that water mav be drawn into the chamber 3 during the return flow of the water towards the chamber 6. Two or more rams may be arranged to work alternately. The chamber 6 may have an automatic air valve.
