Abstract

17,421. Fairley, T., and Fairley, F. Dec. 13. Buttons. - A button comprises two parts A, C, the part A being adapted to be covered with material and to be secured to the part C by a grooved stud B, which is passed through a hole in the part A into a spring locking-member D, Fig. 2, located in the part C, as shown. The lower part C has a sewing- hole E. In a modification, Fig. 4, the grooved stud, provided with an attaching-eye H, is passed up through a hole in the lower button part G into the locking-member D, which is located in the upper button part F. A spring arrangement such as used in an ordinary glove-fastener may be used with a grooved pin, stud, &c.
