Window holders for sliding sashes; vehicle windows. -Sliding g windows b are held in any position by means of an eccentricallymounted shaft o rotated by means of a handle p and provided with cams x engaging arms v on a weather-bar w, which is hinged at w<1> to the fence-rail and is pressed against the window by springs y. The weatherbar is fitted with a cork strip z, and the shaft o is provided with rubber sleeves o<2>. When the eccentric shaft is turned to release the window, the cams x press the weather-bar away from the window. the window rests on rollers e carried by levers c, cl which beir against rollers k mounted on the ends of spiral counterbniancing-springs h..
