16,039. Berry, A. F. July 11. Ovens.-Side flues d are provided, and a gas or other heater h is so placed as to cause a circulation of air up the middle of the oven and down the flues. The sectional area of the flues is less than that of the central region of the oven, but not sufficiently to prevent free flow of air. The inner walls c of the flues may support shelves and may be double, the two parts being separated by a layer of asbestos or air. The walls c may be matt on the side turned to the inside of the oven and bright on the other side. A removable grid may be provided carrying air guiding platesj.
