5728. Gross Printing Press Co., and Raabe, O. L. March 7. Feeding webs.-In printing-machines in which the supply reels are carried in frames arranged above the machine to constitute a magazine, trollies adapted to be moved from a reel store into alinement with the frames are provided for supplying new reels without retarding the working of the machine. The supply reels are carried in bearings b in longitudinal frames B, two reels being provided for each perfecting set A<1>, A. The frames are gapped at suitable intervals, and trollies E adapted to travel on rails e<2> and convey reels from the store to the frame enter the gaps, laterally-projecting arms e<3> thereon alining with the frame to permit of rolling the reels into position. A single machine comprising two perfecting sets on each side of a centrally-arranged folder is shown, and a number of machines may be similarly arranged transversely to the rails for the trollies.
