Abstract

20,159. Daution, E. P. Sept. 4. Butter and cheese cutters.-Cheese is cut into pieces of desired size by means of cutters 6 slidably mounted upon a rod 3 which is passed through the cheese. The cutters 6 are movable angularly, and after the cutting operation they cover and protect the cut surface. A tray 1 supports the cheese and also carries the rod 3, which is pushed through the cheese after first removing a screwed knob 5 and sliding off the cutters 6. Fig. 4 shows a modification in which the rod 3 is formed with a milled head 11 and is forced through the cheese and secured to a base-board 12 by a screw 10.
