Warp machines. -Relates to warp machines for knitting double-rib work or work with both sides alike or with both sides ' right sides ' and comprising two lines of inclined bearded needles m, n, two sets of knocking-over bits e, f and warp-guides h. The loops are formed by lapping the warp threads first on one row of needles and then on the other. Fig. 5 shows threads being laid on the needles n, and being held in place by the nibs g of the bits f until under the needle beards. After pressing, the bar d carrying the bits f is lowered out of the way, and the loops on the needles n are knocked over on the nibs g of the bits e. The process is then repeated on the needles m.
