Abstract
In a method of obtaining hydrogen or gas mixtures containing hydrogen the water gas process is combined with the electrolytic production of hydrogen so that the oxygen obtained in the latter process together with steam with or without an addition of air is supplied to a water gas generator, enabling the generator to be operated continuously. The air supply to the producer may be adjusted so as to obtain a gas mixture with the required percentage of nitrogen for the synthetic production of ammonia.
