Abstract

188,438. Cox, A. J. Sept. 5, 1921. Treadle mechanism.-Driving-mechanism for cycles &c. comprises two forked levers A pivoted at B, fitted with pedals E and connected bv a chain D so as to rise and fall alternately. The levers carry a chain C working in a free wheel sprocket G on the back wheel axle. A lever F may be jointed at the forward end of the lever A so that a person sitting in front may assist indriving. Specifications 5827/85 and 9794/85 are referred to.
