186,367. Jackson, W. J. Mellersh-, (Vibration Specialty Co.). April 22, 1921. Yielding supports. - In a bearing in which the shaft is supported on friction wheels 41, these are carried by a frame member 8 connected to a base member by a bracket 3 which is sawn nearly through at 4 in order to form a flexible pivot by means of which the upper member 8 may oscillate, relatively to the base part. The parts are held in event of fracture of the part 4, by side plates 9 which are bolted to the bracket at the top and connected together at the bottom by a bolt 10 which is passed through a larger hole 11 on the bracket. These plates also cover the ends of loose rods 7 which are passed through larger holes 6 in the bracket.
