Abstract

185,152. Axilrod, M. April 1, 1921. Machinery beds and frames.-The framework for supporting the driving mechanism of a series of sewing or like machines comprises a bracket 4 secured to the legs 1, 2 of a table by bolts 20 passing through slots 17 in the bracket and legs so that the table top 10 may be raised or lowered. A bearing 51 for a shaft 50 depends from the centre of the bracket 4 and a hanger 32 carrying a shaft 46 at right angles to the shaft 50 is supported in grooves 36 formed in arms 26 branching from the bracket 4. The hanger 32 can be adjusted to and from the shaft 50 by a bolt 75 screwed into a lug 76 depending from the bracket 4. An additional bracket 93 may be bolted to the hanger 32 for supporting the shaft 46.
