Abstract

185,342. Williams, J. D. Oct. 14, 1921. Lids and covers. -A milk pail is provided with a detachable cover A, the opening B of which is arranged so as to be vertical when the pail is tilted into the milking position. The edge of the opening is flanged at A<1> to assist in excluding dirt &c. The attachment means for the cover consists of a flange C terminating in spring fingers C<1> and adapted to engage in the mouth of the pail. Handles E may be provided on the arm. One Provisional Specification describes a metal flange attached behind and below the highest point of the rim A'.
