Abstract

173,067. Donnellan, J. S., and Foster, J. A. Sept. 22, 1920. Teeth, artificial. - Springs 3 for connecting upper and lower sets of artificial teeth are in the form of flattened helical springs 8 with idle-eyes 10, 6, lever arm 12, and end eyes which co-operate with means for adjusting the disposition and tension of the springs, and comprise threads 15 held by the gum to which a washer 23 with stop projections 24 is held by a nut 20. To adjust the curvature of the spring the nut is slackened and the washer rotated. The invention can be applied to whole or partial dentures associated with artificial dentures or natural teeth.
