Abstract

169,549. Wade, H., (Marswerke Akt.-Ges.). July 9, 1920. Motor-cycles; motors, mounting or supporting. -The motor is pivotally suspended from two transversely-arranged lugs 14 with its centre of gravity substantially vertically below the pins 16, and it is then fixed in position by connecting a third point to the frame by means of a stay 13 screwed to the end of a cylinder. The lugs 14 may be adjusted about their pivots 15 'by set screws 17 to facilitate adjustment of the driving chain 10. Two-speed chain gearing operated by friction clutches 6<1> may be provided between the countershaft 6 and the axle 1.
