Folding and collapsable seats. - Folding and collapsable seats of the type collapsing into bar or stick-like form comprise front and back frames hinged together at one end and parallel companion side members supporting a flexible seat and adapted to fold against the back frame or lie supported at their free end from the front frame. The back frame b comprises side members d<2>, d' connected by the folding link and pivoted at c to the corresponding side members d, d<1> of the front frame a, which are connected by the folding cross links l, the upper ends of which have sliding connections with the front of the side members d, d<1>. The members f, f<1> carry the seat e and in the open position engage notches m<2>, m<3>, in the links l which carry fastening- hooks 3. In a modification, the arms f, f<1> are notched for engagement with notches in the links l. A flexible back-rest o and detachable or permanent swinging or fixed arm rests q may be provided.
