Abstract

166,065. Marks, E. C. R., (Fabrique Nationale d'Armes de Guerre, Soc. Anon.). Sept. 27, 1920. Spring devices.- A link - mounted spring front fork for motor-cycles &c. is characterized by a helical compression spring, which at its upper end is pivoted to the upper part of the steering - head or frame and at its lower end is pivoted to the lower links of the mechanism at a point between their ends in such manner that a point between their ends in such manner that shock is absorbed by the compression of the spring. As shown, the spring 5, enclosed in a casing 9, is fixed to the upper part of the frame member 2 by a stem 15 pivoted between lugs and at its lower end the spring is attached to a member 7 which is pivoted at 8 to the links 3<1>.
