Abstract
163,082. Pede, R. di. Jan. 10, 1920. Corsets; stocking-suspenders.-A corset of the kind extending but a short distance above the waist is provided with side pieces B<1>, B<2> of tricot or other suitable elastic material, extending from the bottom 2 upwardly to points 5 under the arms, and sewn at 1 to front pieces A<1>, A<2>, and at 4 to hip pieces C', c<2>. The front edges 3 of the pieces B', B<2> are of double thickness and are adapted to be laced together over the downwardly projecting portions 14 of the pieces A', A<2>. In addition to the usual front and back steels 7, 8, stiffeners are provided at 9, 10, 11. The lower edge of the corset carries stocking-suspenders, the two at the front having a strap 15, sewn to the part 14, passing through the loop 16 of the suspender-clip 17, and attached at the other end to a runner loop fastener 19 threaded on a strap 20, fixed to the lower edge of the elastic portion.
