Seats and seat backs, arrangement and disposition of.-In a passenger-carrying vehicle, the padded seats rest on, and are hinged to the outboards attached to the sides of the vehicle, so that when folded over the bottoms of the seats and outboards form a platform on which goods may be carried. Each seat d is hinged at e, and has a back f which is jointed at h so that the padded portion g may be folded on the back f when the seats are folded over to bridge the gangway. The back f up to the hinge h then forms a strut which is supported by the bottom of the vehicle. Detachable arm rests i support the seat backs when the vehicle is used for carrying passengers.
