158,425. Sunbeam Motor Car Co., Ltd., Coatalen, L., and Cooper, J. A. Nov. 22, 1919. Sliding seats; seat adjustments.- A sliding seat for vehicles is locked in adjusted position by the engagement of a projection D on the underside of the seat with a rack-plate E. The seat is pivoted at A' to a plate B sliding on tracks C and must be tilted as shown to allow its position to be adjusted. The seat is preferably connected to the slide by a toggle mechanism comprising links F, G, and a spring which tends to keep the seat tilted when above a certain position or to hold it down when below that position.
